Pointy Beards - Grooming Fact
Roughly 4 centuries ago, pointed beards were very fashionable among men. This style of beard became known as the "Vandyke", as it was made popular by Sir Anthony Vandyke who was an artist that painted aristocrats and utilized waxes and pomades to shape and style a pointed beard with tiny brushes and combs. During this period, holding the shape of the beard and styled mustaches was of concern, and people invented random apparatuses to protect their facial hair shape while sleeping!
